Product Details

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of the U.S. Navy’s WWII Type 1 “all weather coat” or simply referred to as a rain jacket. This type was often seen being utilized by Enlisted Sailors. This exact jacket is actually featured in Jeff Warner’s reference book “U.S. Navy Uniforms and Insignia 1943-1946” on pages 104-105. The book states that the Type 1 raincoat was often referred to as the “Enlisted Man’s raincoat”.

The jacket is single breasted with a partial belt located on the rear. The exterior pockets varied on these jackets with this one being a flapped patch type that also allows access to the interior. This raincoat is offered in great condition, with only minor wear marks scattered throughout. All buttons are present down the front and on the cuffs. There is no noticeable damage and all stitching is still intact.

This is a wonderful example of a moderately worn WWII U.S. Navy raincoat is a welcome addition to any WWII collection!
